BINH DUONG – Saigontourist Group, in collaboration with Tuoi Tre Newspaper, co-organized the 8th "Pho of Love" (Pho Yeu Thuong) event

The 8th "Pho of Love" Brings 12,000 Bowls of Pho to Workers and Residents in Bau Bang

The 8th "Pho of Love" was organized with the goal of contributing to the material and spiritual well-being of local residents, factory workers, laborers, and underprivileged students in an area undergoing rapid industrial and urban transformation. Simultaneously, the program aimed to spread humanitarian values and a spirit of sharing through Vietnam’s iconic traditional dish.

A Feast of Charity and Community Support

At the event, top chefs from Vietnam’s leading pho brands and luxury hotels under Saigontourist Group prepared and served 12,000 free bowls of pho. The recipients included workers and students from Bau Bang Commune and neighboring areas, such as Long Hoa, Ben Cat, Long Nguyen, Tru Van Tho, and An Long.

Beyond the culinary experience, the program featured:

  • Cooking demonstrations: Guiding locals on how to prepare authentic pho.

  • Vocational counseling: Providing sustainable livelihood orientations.

  • Cultural performances: Offering spiritual encouragement through music and art.

In a special highlight, the Organizing Committee presented 350 gift sets to disadvantaged workers in Bau Bang and surrounding areas, providing practical support for families at the start of the year.

Honoring National Heroes

Embodying the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source," the organizers personally visited and awarded three special gift packages to families of martyrs and those who contributed to the national revolution. Each package, valued at 5 million VND (including cash and gifts), served as a gesture of gratitude for their sacrifices for the country.

Corporate Social Responsibility in Action

The event saw the seamless coordination of Saigontourist Group’s key subsidiaries, including Rex Hotel Saigon, Majestic Saigon, Grand Saigon, Continental Saigon, Kim Do, Dong Khanh, Saigontourist Travel Service, Hoa Viet Joint Venture, Saigontourist Hospitality College, and Saigontourist Cable Television.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Chairwoman of Saigontourist Group and Co-Head of the Steering Committee, emphasized the event's significance:

"Pho of Love is more than just a culinary event; it is a profound social initiative. By serving 12,000 bowls of pho and providing practical gifts, we aim to care for the lives of local residents, especially those in difficult circumstances. We believe every bowl of pho served is not just a warm meal, but a message of encouragement to help people rise above life's challenges."

A Prelude to International Expansion

Now in its eighth year, "Pho of Love" continues to solidify its humanitarian impact. The 2026 event in Bau Bang marks a new milestone in the strategic partnership between Saigontourist Group and Tuoi Tre Newspaper.

This event follows the resounding success of the Vietnam Pho Festival held in Japan (2023), South Korea (2024), and Singapore (2025). It also serves as the kick-off for the Vietnam Pho Festival 2026 series, which is scheduled to take place in Australia in the third quarter of this year.
